Mt Ridley Primary Update

After a false start and 24-hour delay, we finally managed to send our Year 6 students on camp. Students and staff were full of anticipation as they boarded their bus on Tuesday morning and headed off to Alexandra Adventure Resort. Whilst on camp they experienced a number of harness-based activities including the flying Fox, Rock climbing wall, High and low ropes course and a giant swing. We certainly hope our Year 6s had a wonderful camp experience. It was with great disappointment that we had to cancel camp for Year 5 students at the eleventh hour. Despite our best efforts, we just couldn’t quite get to the finish line. We have some wonderful experiences planned for all our students over the final weeks of term and look forward to a positive end to the year.

There are two significant community events on the horizon. The first is our Primary Presentation Ceremony on Monday, 6 December from 1:00pm. This event will be broadcast live to parents from the CGA. Together, we acknowledge award recipients and farewell our graduating Year 6 class of 2021. The second event is our annual Carols by Twilight on Tuesday, 7 December from 5:00pm. We will again be broadcasting this live via Zoom into family lounge rooms and hope to have many families join us to finish the year full of community spirit.

We have a magnificent community, full of hope, resilience, and respect. It is this, that we can be most proud of. Thank you all!
