To conclude their year on a positive note, the Year 10 students recently travelled to Kinglake Forest Adventure Camp for a fun day of challenges, leadership and teamwork.
As they enter VCE, all students become leaders within our School community. With that in mind, the focus of the excursion was leadership. The facilitators spent time with the students considering what leadership means and what different types of leadership look like and when they are appropriate. With this knowledge at the front of mind, the students worked through a range of challenges that required leadership and teamwork in order to be successfully completed.
From raft building to rope swinging, students were challenged physically and intellectually. All students were encouraged to, and had the opportunity to, provide leadership to their peers. It was wonderful to see so many of them rise to the challenges they were presented with. I am confident that we have wonderful emerging leaders within this cohort.
