Proud Parent - Richa Rishi

Richa Rishi, is a proud Hume Anglican Grammar parent to Viraaj who is in Prep at our Mt Ridley campus. Rishi works as a Manager in IT Consultancy and Quality Assurance and is a mother of two beautiful boys, Viraaj (6) and Aadiv (1).

Why did you choose Hume Anglican Grammar for your Son?
We were new to the area and were exploring schooling options for our son back in 2017. Our first step in gathering information about schools was to speak to other members of our community and explore feedback online. Luckily, we did not receive any mixed reviews and people had all positive stories to tell about the school and the teachers.

We immediately enrolled our son and we gained even more confidence after the wonderful Discovery Tour highlighting the school infrastructure and style of teaching. It was a great opportunity to ask questions and ensure that our child was in the right hands to form a solid future.

Over the past year, we have been really impressed by the teachers staying connected and updating us about Viraaj’s learning. We love how they are building a strong foundation for our child.

What has been the fondest memory of your time here at our school?
We are very new to the School but we still have some pretty good memories of this year. One of the fondest memories is Viraaj’s Father’s Day speech at Assembly. We loved his fluency and confidence, and it definitely made his Dad really proud sitting there and listening to the speech. We are so grateful to Miss Payne for providing Viraaj with the opportunity to speak at the event.

What do you value most about education?
Education is crucial for our children to learn life skills, be civilized, and decide between right and wrong. In many cases, a child spends more time in a day at school with teachers than they do with their parents, so their school plays a significant role in the type of person they become.

We value the opportunities that education can provide, and how it can bring out the best in children.

A school gives children guidance and confidence to choose what they are passionate about. Hume is certainly ticking all the boxes.
