Year 10 City Camp
The Year 10 cohort enjoyed a three-day camp in the city exploring the CBD and developing an appreciation for all it has to offer. While staying at University College in Parkville, students also tasted university life.
Across the three days, students took part in a number of different activities. These included: art learning at the National Gallery of Victoria, getting up close with dinosaurs at Melbourne Museum, learning about sporting history at the MCG, visits to ACMI, Old Melbourne Gaol, and taking in the whole of Melbourne from the Eureka SkyDeck.
As part of their transition into VCE, a session was held to prepare students for the demands and processes of the next two years. The students set goals for themselves and were able to finish the year with the future in sight.
The greatest thing about Year 10 camp was walking in the city with the people I enjoy spending time with. - Frances
The camp was a great 3 days with lots of fun activities and time spent exploring the city. The experience of university life and navigating the City on my own was my highlight, after the Skydeck of course! Whilst we did not get a city experience this certainly made up for it. The experience was great and was filled with lots of fun, laughs and gelati! - Matt
