Class of 2022

We normally consider the holidays as a chance to relax and refresh and I trust all members of the Secondary community had the opportunity to do so for at least some of the recent break. But for many - particularly for our Year 12 students and their teachers - the term break just gone is always a busy one.

For students, structured revision sessions, lectures, trial examinations and personal study dominated much of the three-week break. Similarly for our Year 12 teachers, these activities along with the associated marking and feedback have been part of the holiday experience.

I wish to pay tribute to our Year 12 teachers and students for the efforts that they have been making recently, and indeed over the whole year. The end of the VCE marathon for our 2022 cohort is in sight and both teachers and students are determined to make it over the finish line. More than this, it is my hope that all students will look back once they have crossed that finish line and be able to say they gave their best – that they left nothing in reserve and are satisfied with their efforts.

We look forward to some special days next week that will celebrate and honour the 2022 cohort and both their achievements and contributions to the Hume community.
