Excellence in Legal Studies
The Victorian Bar Foundation was established to progress the interests of justice in Victoria and further legal education and training in our community. The Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation which enables the Bar and Bench to contribute to the community and causes outside the Bar itself.
On Friday, 24 June at Owen Dixon Chambers, High Court Justice, The Honourable Justice Michelle Gordon presented Omar Jaza with a student achievement award for his excellence in VCE Legal Studies as well as his leadership and engagement within the school community.
Omar received $1000 to be used for future study and the opportunity to be mentored by a barrister during work experience at the Supreme Court during September holidays. Omar will be joined by a fellow Hume Anglican Grammar student, Nicholene Canisius, who has been given an encouragement award from the Victorian Bar Foundation to also participate in the mentoring program.
Congratulations to both students on their continued success in VCE Legal Studies.
