At the commencement of the year, it is customary to invite back to school last year’s Dux. It gives the School the opportunity to formally acknowledge their achievement, present their certificate, and allow them the opportunity to speak to the students and staff.
Last week, Yusuf Ibrahim joined the Secondary school at their Assembly. We enjoyed the opportunity to hear from Yusuf, who shared with the school community his thoughts. Interestingly, he focused his address not only on his reflection of his school days, but also added the contemplations of his fellow Year 12s from the 2020 cohort. Yusuf felt as he was just one, the collective views of many will provide a richer and more diverse compilation of advice.
