Having farewelled Ms Sheona Carter earlier this term, the Head of Curriculum - Primary duties now rest with myself and Ms Rebecca Riley who are ably supported by our wonderful Heads of Learning. We would like to take this opportunity to inform you of our upcoming End of Semester 1 student reports. Homeroom and Specialist teachers have finalised their assessments and completed written reports for each of their students. Your child’s report will be available from 4:00pm today via PAM. Our reports are a comprehensive account of your child’s progress throughout the semester. We encourage all parents to discuss these reports with your child/ren as it is important for them to know how they are progressing and what they can do to improve throughout the remainder of the year. In addition to their academic subject based reports, you will also receive a Homeroom report summarising your child’s personal qualities and achievements, social skills, self-management skills and communication skills. There will be an opportunity for parents and teachers to engage at Parent Teacher Interviews in Term 3. Further information will be forwarded when dates and format have been confirmed.
Whilst there have been a number of minor interruptions to our normal teaching and learning programs throughout the semester, I am very happy to report that students and families have taken this in their stride and again performed exceptionally well under trying circumstances. If there is anything that COVID has taught us, it is that together, as a community, we can overcome adversity and come out the other side better and stronger than before.
On behalf of the staff and students, we wish all our families a restful and reinvigorating break and look forward to seeing all our students back on Tuesday, 13 July.
