Starting the term with a Chapel service on the students’ first day back was a wonderful way to bring the Primary school together to mark the start of a new semester. Having all our students together in one place remains a fantastic sight, particularly given recent restrictions. Songs were sung, reflections were made, prayers were spoken, and readings were delivered. It was indeed a great way to celebrate the return to school. Unfortunately, we have since had to revert to online gatherings, however, strength of community remains strong.
On behalf of the school community, we welcome 6 new students to the Primary school. I will not name them in this forum but send our best wishes to them and their families and appreciate the positive contribution they will no doubt bring to our school.
On Monday, 12 July, Primary staff had the pleasure of working and learning in our new STEM Centre. This is a magnificent facility that has been purposefully designed and fitted out to support Inquiry learning, critical thinking, collaboration, and investigation. Many of our Year 3 students had the opportunity to tour the STEM Centre last week before lockdown and were very excited about the opportunities that await. We eagerly look forward to the regular timetabled lessons our students will spend in the STEM Centre.
We hope you all had a relaxing break and are ready for the experiences and new learning that a new school semester brings.
