We extend our warmest congratulations to the Secondary Visual Art students who have had their work selected for the Independent Schools Victoria (ISV) 2023 Student Art Exhibition this year.
This is truly a remarkable achievement and a testament to the students' talent and creativity.
The exhibition is a showcase of 90 artworks from eight Victorian Independent schools across Primary and Secondary. These schools include Beaconhills College, Camberwell Girls' Grammar School, Hume Anglican Grammar, Huntingtower, Kilvington Grammar School, Melbourne Montessori School, Sophia Mundi Steiner School, and Yarra Valley Grammar.
The opening of the exhibition was held on Wednesday, 26 July and featured guest speaker Michele Stockley, Head of Learning at the National Gallery of Victoria. She spoke about the importance of creativity and critical thinking skills, which are essential for success in any field. For our students, the opening provided an opportunity to present and celebrate their work to a broad audience, showcasing their talent and hard work.
In Term 1 this year, ISV Arts Learning Executive Anne Smith selected 16 works from Hume Anglican Grammar to include in the group exhibition. These works were created across multiple school years of both current students and Alumni. You can view these works and more on the ISV Online gallery to artworks: 2023 Galleries - isArtworks (iseducation.com.au)
The exhibition is being held at the ISV student Art Gallery, located at 8 Wharf Street, The District, 440 Docklands Drive, Docklands. It will be open until 25 November 2023, so be sure to check it out and support our talented students. Congratulations again to all students involved!
