Term 1 was full of many learning opportunities relating to our Science inquiry unit ‘Now or Never’ and author study novel ‘Staying Alive in Year 5’.
To showcase our understanding of the central idea, we made YouTube style videos about animal and plant adaptations. All classes really enjoyed the opportunity to be expressive and entertaining with our presentations and at the same time demonstrate our knowledge.
A highlight of the term was visiting the Melbourne Zoo where we got to see firsthand the different types of animal adaptations. While there, we did a session with a Zookeeper and learned more about animals and their adaptations.
After a great first term, we are looking forward to our future learning.
