Ross Williamson Scholarship
Due to a generous benefaction from the Estate of William Thomas (Ross) Williamson, dating from 1935, the Anglican Diocese of Melbourne has access to funds that provide financial bursaries to students at Anglican schools.
The terms of the will specify that scholarships may be awarded only to:
- boys over 13 years of age
- those attending an Anglican School within the Diocese
- baptised members of the Anglican Church
- students whose parents are “in need of monetary assistance for providing their son’s education”.
The Ross Williamson Scholarship awards bursaries on the basis of need. It is likely that for 2021/22 the Ross Williamson Scholarship fund will be able to award scholarships to up to 10 students, up to a maximum per student of around $8,000.
Application Process
The Diocese invites applications for these bursaries and below an application form can be downloaded. Please return the completed form along with any relevant documentation in support of the application to the email address below.
Applications should be sent to the Registrar, Malcolm Tadgell, at registrar@melbourneanglican.org.au by 30 November 2021 and should be marked “Confidential: Ross Williamson Scholarship”.
If you have any queries, please contact the Registry office at the Diocese directly.
